Mia Imani  (Los Angeles, CA) is an artist and researcher whose practice moves between neuroscience, ancestral knowledge systems, and emerging technology. Working across installation, speculative design, film, social practice, and participatory research, she translates complex data and ideas about the brain, consciousness, public health, and collective repair into immersive, tangible environments where overlooked forms of knowledge become accessible, embodied, and publicly felt. She is the founder of DreamTV, an emerging platform exploring global sleep cultures, dreaming practices, and emerging technologies at the intersection of rest and imagination. Through art, research, and public storytelling, she builds new architectures of belonging—expanding what counts as knowledge, and who gets to dream the future.

She co-published one of the first academic articles examining dream technology and the Black radical rest movement, work that informs the development of D.R.E.A.M. LAB. She is co-leading the first citywide sleep and dream survey in Los Angeles in collaboration with UCLA neuroscientist Dr. Gina Poe, Director of the Brain Research Institute. Her work has been presented internationally at Akademie Schloss Solitude, KVS, Kunsthalle Gent, PICA, Prater Galerie, Seattle Art Museum Lab, SAVVY Contemporary, and Wa Na Wari.

Mayola Tikaka (Los Angeles, CA) is an international architect and art director.
